Young Love at the Davis Motel

Dave and Wendy met here, at this pool (pictured in the corner). I’m pretty sure they met on September 1st.

You are so correct. Kids, you can stop reading now because you’ve heard this story lots of times. It was the fist day of school and my sisters got home before I did, so I went down to the pool to see them and I was still in my school dress. (Yes, we did wear dresses to school mostly, back in the olden days!) While I was talking to them, I saw this guy doing all these fancy flips and dives off the diving board. He was really good! But then he did a big cannonball and splashed all over me! He came swimming over and said, “Why don’t you go get your swimsuit on?” I thought he was such a jerk, but I go change into my swimsuit…and the rest is history!
