Ben turns a billion seconds old!

Ben’s a billion seconds! Yay! I knit him a Dr. Who scarf, which did not have a billion stitches in it. Because I can’t knit a stitch a second, and I wasn’t even a billion seconds old yet. And it would have been miles long.

These are the pies we made for Ben: and apple and a huckleberry. One says 1Gs (one gigasecond) and the other 10-to-the-ninth, in honor of Ben having lived one billion seconds.

We just had to take another picture of the apple pie because it was so beautiful. One of the nicest-looking pies we ever made.

We are all enjoying the huckleberry pie. We never made a huckleberry pie before, but it just goes to show that experimentation can really pay off! Yum!

Ben, who is now 1 billion seconds old!, is holding his son Edison, who recently completed two million seconds.

I knit Ben a Dr. Who scarf in honor of his Billion Seconds. The scarf was about 12 feet long, about 41,000 stitches. If it had been a billion stitches, it would have been 55 miles long! Whoa!
