Visiting the Cemetary

I can’t remember the name of this cemetary, but it is the one between Mt. Carrol and Savanna, on the side of the road. There is a little church, too. We stopped to see Uncle Bub’s grave. Later, grandma told me there were Schermans here, too, but dad didn’t know that so we didn’t look for their stones.

C might be being a little disrespectful here, but I think if this were my headstone I would be happy that someone was getting a little enjoyment out of it. Notice the stone says “She done what she could.”
