Family Day at Geitmyra

It was Family Day at our community garden, and we invited C’s old friend Christian Andres to come with us. There was a treasure hunt (of sorts, it was kind of a quiz about different areas of the garden and everyone got a prize at the end.) We also did some painting and took a wagon ride. Of course, apples were collected and eaten and the sunny day was much enjoyed by all.

There were lots and lots of people there, and lots less apples at the end of the day!

Christian Andres was the first person C made friends with at Treklang, and C missed him a lot last year after Christian Andres moved on to elementary school (and a new suburb, far away from us.) We’ve only seen them a few times since then, but C always loves seeing him. Christian Andres is a very sweet boy, fun to play with, and tolerant of C’s antics.

This is my favorite picture of me so far this year. I prefer to think those eye-crinkles are from happiness, not my advanced years. :)
