Tiny Car
2001 November 10, Saturday

This car was #1 on the smallest-car-in-Europe list, the informal survey we took during our honeymoon. It is hard to tell from the picture, but it was actually just a one-seater.
Rainbow at the Van Gogh Museum
2001 November 13, Tuesday

A Sunday Picture from another exciting week on the honeymoon; it was rainy and lame weather-wise this week, but we bought a beautiful umbrella to make up for it. Here we are using it behind the Van Gogh Museum.
The Flying Pig
2001 November 16, Friday

This is the view from our upstairs double at the Flying Pig hostel in Amsterdam. First we stayed at a place near the train station (ehem, yes, that’s the red light district — we didn’t know!), then we moved to the Flying Pig, but there was only room in the largest multiple. For our last few night, though, we got a private room in the attic. A romantic conclusion to our honeymoon.
We spent most of our honeymoon in southern Europe: Spain, and Italy; and we had to go to Munich for sentimental reasons on my part. Under other circumstances I would have chosen to continue south, to southern Italy, Greece, and Turkey. However, I had arranged for a short practicum at my trainer’s school in Amsterdam. So to Amsterdam we went. It was the last stop on our honeymoon.
