Montgomery, Alabama — Marion Louise McArthur Pine, age 66, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 1996, at Vencor Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia after a three-month illness following a stroke. She was born May 20, 1930, in Ogden, Utah to Leslie G. and LaVern Hastings McArthur. She was educated in Ogden City Schools, graduating from Ogden High School in 1948. She was a member of the LDS church. Marion married Robert A. Phillips, April 22, 1949, in Ogden, Utah. They were later divorced. She married Joseph C. Pine, July 12, 1952, in Elko, Nevada. She was employed at Hill Air Force Base for a few years. Marion and her husband Joe moved from Utah in 1956 to live in Germany for three years stationed with the U.S. Air Force. They also lived in Washinton, D.C. and Denver, Colorado. After her husband’s retirement from the Air Force, they settled in Montgomery, Alabama where they have lived the past 25 years. She was active in civic affairs, a member of the Easter Star and the Arrowhead Country Club. Surviving are her husband of Montgomery, six children: Michael J. (Kathy) Pine, Germantown, Maryland; David A. (Wendy) Pine, San Diego, California; Leslie P. Alldredge and Connie Pine both of Birmingham, Alabamal John C. (Sharon) Pine, Atlanta, Georgia; Douglas J. (Sophia) Pine, River Ridge, Louisiana; nine grandchildren, and a sister, Joy M. (Gordon L.) Belnap, Ogden Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents. Marion will be greatly missed by her family and many close friends in the Montgomery area. Funeral services were held in Montgomery, Alabama on Saturday, December 21, 1996, at the Alabama Heritage Funeral Home. Interment was in the Alabama Heritage Cemetery.

Pine, Mrs. Marion M., 66, a resident of Montgomery, AL died on Tuesday, December 17, 1996 in an Atlanta, GA hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 1996 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of ALabama Heritage Funeral Home with Elser Dave Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Jospeh Pine, Montgomery, AL; six children, Michael Pine, Germantown, MD, David Pine, San Diego, CA, Leslie Alldredge, Birmingham, AL, John Pine, Atlanta, GA, Douglas Pine, New Orleans, LA, and Connie Pine, Birmingham, AL; one sister, Joy Belnap, Ogden, UT. Serving as active pallbearers will be Durwood Bird, Thomas McGuire, David Stockman, Christopher Pine, Matthew Pine, Joey Pine, and Walter Holt.
