Ogden — Leslie Gale McArthur, 81, of 2640 Tyler, died Friday, Sapt. 22, 1988, at an Ogden nursing home of heart failure. He was born Feb. 9, 1907, in Ogden, a son of Fred and Mary L. Gale Groves. He married LaVern Hastings April 17, 1928, in Salt Lake City. She died March 18, 1976. He was a life-long resident of Ogden and was educated in the Ogden City Schools. He was employed as a shipping clerk for the Ogden Iron Works, retiring in 1972. He was a member of the Mount Ogden LDS Ward. He had been a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Joseph C. (Marion) Pine, Montgomery, Ala.; Mrs. Gordon L. (Joy) Belnap, Ogden; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother. Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in the Larkin and Sons Mortuary, 496 24th St. Ogden, with Bishop Richard L. Smith officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from noon to 12:45 p.m. Interment will be in the Ogden City Cememtery.
