C’s Art from May

C brought these home from school.

C says this is a car with lots of extra wheels and fast lines, because it’s getting ready to land.

It’s two cut outs and then C glued in to a orange paper.

C says this is a train driving over a tent with stuff and trash. The train was going really fast, so it flew off the track.

C says this is all about a thunderstorm, with a train climbing on the mountain, but the train broke down. That’s his interpretation a few months later, anyway.

There’s a person and a rocket ship. C says he wasn’t finished with that rocket ship yet. He was also going to color the other wing all green. Back in June when I scanned these, he reported “Rocket ship and the person who drives it with hair down to the ground.”

I thought it was interesting how he glued the cut square in the center and colored over it. The left hand corners were folded up and glued over with that other strip. The mysterious creations of 5 year olds…

C says “That’s mostly just the night time. Those are stars up there.” Most of the star points are actually punctures in the paper, and the long horizontal blue line is also a tear.

C says “There’s nothing much to tell about it. It’s just some letters, and some train tracks, and that’s a train station that gives packages.”

C says it’s a person. With a yellow head and yellow head, and yellow eyes, and a yellow dress.

C says “That one is mostly just yellow. And a snail, but it’s dead.”
