Easter Morn

The kids were excited to see easter eggs in the stores, and remembered last year when they got ones filled with chocolate and toys. So I got them a few little things and we had an easter egg hunt. I thought I’d hidden them pretty well, but C found them right away! I hid one under the sombrero, one inside the drum, and one (mama’s and papa’s) in the juggling ball basket. I couldn’t believe how easily he found them! He used to suck at hide and seek!

Ruby’s excited… or terrified… or something?

I asked her if she was excited about påske (easter), and she said she was. So I asked for an excited face, and this is what I got.

I told her that it looked like a scared face, not excited. So she showed me what a scared face looks like.

Then, lest C feel left out, I asked him for his excited face. Yep, looks pretty much like C. :)

Then I asked Ruby for a happy face. For Rubes, apparently, this involves some tongue.

And C’s happy face.

Ruby has so many different expressions, different faces, even different laughs.

C has only one. (I can almost hear a chorus of Reedies shouting, “One Good One!”)

C tried to pick Ruby up and they both fell face first into the wall. Unfortunately it was Ruby’s face first.

Ruby’s already forgotten about smacking her face on the wall. Chocolate cures all.

I made little paper envelopes with pistachios and raisins. C also got a paint brush like Ruby’s, a pad of sticky notes, and a pencil sharpener. And marzipan.

I forgot, they also got foam stickers and tiny chocolate bars.

I can’t remember the exact quote, but so was excited about biting off the chicken’s head. Gross!

I added a bunch of feathers to the eggs for fun.
