Visit to All Roads

Ruby and I spent Friday morning at All Roads. It was so nice to be back in the classroom and to be with Mercedes and Alicia. The community is really thriving and I felt lucky to be able to spend the morning with them. (Will someone just create transporter technology already, so I can work here and live in Oslo?!)

Ruby is looking at the materials for the youngest children. This shelf is a barrier between the areas for walking and non-walking children.

I really like they way Mercedes does lunch. Everyone sits, and only 1 adult is up to serve food, etc. The adults eat with the children to model proper table manners and such.

There were two 6 month old infants in the class. I thought it was great how they were integrated into the community.

Edison and Phin pushed the wagon all the way down to the bottom of the hill. Then they worked really hard to turn it around and point it in just the right direction up the hill. Then Edison plopped down in it and directed Phin to push him back up the hill.
