The Second Day

We woke up the second day and took some pictures of the crazy hotel room. Then we headed out for breakfast and a trip to a museum. We headed back to Oslo late in the afternoon. It was such a great trip!

No kidding — there were stuffed lions on the bed and a stick in the corner.

That little dog has human eyes, and the big poppies have totem pole eyes. Weird!

Llamas, angles, owls, oranges, you know… normal stuff.

I loved this statue! Even having one baby feels like this sometimes!

I agree. I think this statue should be a commentary on that feeling, not that she actually has all those babies.

This was the Glyptotek, I think it was a residence previously. Now it’s a nice museum.

I liked the little baby-chick looking things with the spots.

We’ve been watching that science fiction show called Stargate. The idea is that the Eyptians were aliens and they have a big circle with symbols on it that lets them travel around the universe. The symbols are supposedly an alien language, but this upside down V with a circle on top looks just like one the symbols!

COOL! It does!

I wish I’d noted who made this painting. I liked it because it reminded me of Dr. Montanaro’s description of the orignal “cestina” used by Italian farmer women.
