The red bits are yarn loops that I’m using as stitch markers. There are 24 sections!

I’ve felt akin to Arachne while fighting with the teeny tiny silk threads.

That’s the children’s wallet. There are fake credit cards with family pictures taped to them inside. Sometimes bus tickets and other things get tucked in, too.

Chris was gone this week, so no picture of him (and no one to take a picture of me!). But here’s C. There was lots of knitting this week, with much progress made on the lace. Ruby and I went to cafes three mornings this week so I could have a little time to work on the lace and Ruby could entertain herself eating boller or whatever. We spent a lot of time with Auntie Lauren this week, too, which was great. Friday we went to the big island with Christian Andres and his family. It was a lot of fun.

It creeped me out to even put the camera that close to the spider. Ew!

Confusingly, even though there is a 5 on it, this is a 1 krone piece. It says “H5” because of the king, Haakon the 5th.

I reached a little milestone in my knitting, and took a few photos at a bakery that Ruby and I visited on the way home from dropping C at school. I usually don’t fritter the mornings away at cafes with Ruby (no, really, we head straight home and I set to hands-and-knees mopping, every day!), but I have been pretty intent on this knitting and thought she might enjoy the change of pace of a cafe while mama stares at the yarn for another hour. She did enjoy it, and we got the added bonus of the cafe being empty at 10 in the morning so she ran around and tried out all the chairs and charmed the barista.
