Ruby’s Spatial Difficulties

Ruby likes playing in my closet, but forgot which side is the exit.

Closets are a great play area for kids. I use to play in my parent’s closet – shutting the door to let in just a small amount of light. It was an airplane. It was a train. It was log cabin. The fun really began when I commandeered a flashlight: cave explorer, space traveler, deep sea diver… Let her find a flashlight and don’t interupt.

C’s favorite play closet is the big one, on the other side of the room. This week it’s been “Portland” and I was a little annoyed this morning, after 5 minutes of searching, to discover that he’d left his wool socks and rain boots in “Portland” last night. :)
