C makes a circle of trains

2006 December 10 · 1:41PM · Sunday

Once again, I have to give Mercedes props for seeing the value of the train set a very long time before I did. C works with such focus on connecting the tracks, getting it to match up in a circuit. He enjoys the challenge of connecting the trains (matching magnetic poles so they attract and not repel). And, it’s just so open-ended it really encourages his creativity and he is always finding new ways to extend this work. And, surprisingly, this is the one activity that he will invite Ruby to do with him. And they can do it together peacefully for 15 minutes or more with no screaming. Trust me, that’s special.
