Ruby’s pigtails

Ruby’s playing with her little kitties-and-couch thing she got at the julemesse at C’s school. They’re made out of wood. And they just sit on the couch. She loves it. I don’t really get it, but she loves it.

Well… here and here, and you’ve got a little bit of everybody for a Sunday Picture type deal.
We saw Auntie Lauren a lot more this week, as Carl Anders’s parents are in town visiting. Ruby has started saying 3 words this week for example “Stay there longer!” at our play group. She also said “weisbier” this week, and pointed to a picture of Chris and said “papa dear!”, and a picture of the statue of the Madrid bear and said “dog sniffing!”. She says everything with exclamation points.
Monday and Tuesday were a blur of getting ready, dropping off and picking up. I did got to norskkurs on Tuesday, and the kids hung out with Chris at work while I was in class. I guess C met someone named Gorm (spelling?) that night. The next day as we walked to school, C pointed at a passerby and yelled “Gwirm!!!” and told me that this man worked with papa. I didn’t really want to run after the guy and ask him, but Chris told me it probably was Gorm who C had met the night before. I have a horrible time remembering people’s names, but I guess it’s easy enough for C.
Alan brought Caylus for game night again, and it was nice to give the game a second chance. We play so many different games, sometimes we don’t even get to play a game twice.
Thursday and Friday Ruby and I went to our playgroup at Tårnhuset Åpen Barnehage. She love love loved it. We should go more often. We haven’t been there since summer.
Chris worked late Friday to get ready for going to San Francisco, and I finished the last of the planning for our Portugal trip. Woohoo! So excited!
Saturday was Christian Andres’s birthday party. He’s a schoolmate from Treklang, it seems like C’s best friend there. We forgot our camera, though. I had a very nice time chatting with everyone, though I slipped and mostly spoke English. I’m really trying with the Norewgian, but it’s hard. That night we watched Sharpe’s Revenge… only a couple more left! Sunday was a quiet day at home, with a rare pizza for dinner, and we watched more Voyager at night.
C wants to be part of the action too

Ruby’s got just enough hair for pigtails. And they’re curly!
