Julemesse at the Oslo Montessori Skole

2008 November 22, Saturday · Oslo, Norway

MORE +

We applied for C to start his elementary school career at the Oslo Montessori Skole, and so we were invited to their annual Christmas fundraiser/party. It was a little too busy at first, but we found a corner of the gym/cafe and watched the Christmas concert and then had a sandwich and waffels while the kids played on the stage.

Ruby mesmerized

2008 November 22 · 12:06PM · Saturday

Both the children were a little taken aback by the Christmsa concert. We don’t often see large groups of people singing together, and I think they thought it was a little odd. Ruby is wearing the headband that she got at the “fishing” booth, which was their favorite activity at the party.

C on stage

2008 November 22 · 12:46PM · Saturday

C and Ruby had a great time playing on the stage after the concert was over. And, ok, he dressed himself this morning (as he usually does) and I didn’t notice that he picked a shirt that needed a little extra spray-n-wash. Yikes!

The Oslo Montessori Skole

2008 November 22 · 1:19PM · Saturday

It’s a truely huge building that has at least two under-levels, as well as an attached kindergarten that you can’t see here. The lower elementary is on the ground floor, and there’s upper elementary (I think through American grade 10) on the upper floors. This is also where Lauren took her training seminar this summer!
