Touring Oslo

This was the day that the city of Oslo promoted as “be a tourist in your own city” day. C has shown interest in exploring new parts of the city, so we went for a walk and took an alternate route to Opera. We found some dramatic steps and a new playground, and along the way had an opporunity to take pictures of my new sweater. At Opera we looked at a new display of pictures that Chris took of Opera employees. Plus, we have a super cute baby!

Ruby loves her new shoes and told me it’s ok to call her “Glitter Foot” because her shoes are glittery (hard to tell here, but they are covered in little sequins.)

C is touching an old hot dog with a stick — but don’t worry, he asked permission first.

I was seeing if it was hard or not, to break it. Which it was hard. But I didn’t break it, I knocked it on the ground. Are those more than one-time grills? Can you use it more than once?

I like that.

I think this is going to be a theme: a short series of pics, each a failed attempt to get a photo of the family (or, in this case, 3/5 of it), as each person alternately gets bored or upset or whatever.

But I’m going to keep taking them, because they feel real.

That was Christmas there. Those trees are Christmas trees.

Finally, those big girls got off the gigantic swing! Ruby’s wasting no time in claiming it.

C was pretty freaked out by this thing at first. At this point he was no longer afraid for his life, but still cautious.

Ruby, ever fearless, loved every minute.

By this point it was Captain C’s spaceship. This is his “extreme piloting” face.

Apl’s first day riding in the backpack. Definitely a success. The sling puts her right to sleep, plus I think she enjoys being able to see more from the backpack.

We found those dandelions. I was holding them in a cup. I wanted to turn them into puff balls. That’s the end.

I needed to go potty that time.
