Santa Lucia Day — December 14, 2009 |

During our first Santa Lucia day in Norway, we didn’t know that much about it, but gladly celebrated with baked goods. Later, when C was at the kindergarten, we got some more information about it. Now it’s Ruby’s turn to be in the Santa Lucia pageant and she loved it!

Yes, you read that time stamp correctly. We had to be at the school at 7:30 so that it would still be dark, and the kids could process in holding candles.

Some time later, Ruby told me that we should change Apl’s name to Santa. I was like “Um, Santa is a man.” She said “No! Santa Lucia!” Ok, you got me there. I wonder if she thinks Santa Claus is a girl with a beard.
