My February Blanket

I’ve been knitting along to Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Knitter’s Almanac, and one of the February projects was a square shawl. I didn’t incorporate any lace motifs, just a simple stripe pattern using up recycled and leftover yarn, but I think it made a right fine baby blanket anyway. And you can never have too many of those.

You can see the last purple row there actually doesn’t match. I swear it was the same yarn, must have been a different dye lot.

No really, she loves it.

She makes this face a lot, mostly with more dramatically pursed lips. Usually this makes everyone who looks at her go “oooooooo!” with similarly pursed lips.

I thought the motion blur on the blanket was funny; she was kicking a lot.

I love knitting, even when I don’t get it quite right.
