I’ve been mulling this over for a while, and I don’t think it came through in my last post. Netie was married at 19, had three children, and then was widowed at 25. At 30, her first set of children all grown up, she gets married and does it all again. Wow.
Also, Melville had really big feet.

Netie Bass was widowed in 1892, and she remarried in 1897 with Melville Byerly. Her she is with her three new children Fred, Frank, and Dolly. (There were three children from her first marriage, but they were mostly grown by the time she remarried). Melville and Netie eventually had 6 children.
