Flower Festival

We went to the annual birthday celebration for Hennrik Wergeland, a famous Norwegian poet and cultural figure. It was in a charming little town a ways out of Oslo, so the girls and I made a day of it. Ruby modelled her newly finished Snapping Turtle Skirt (made by request after I finished mine.) It was a lovely day with poetry recitals, a small drama piece, and lots of fun in the sun. Everyone paraded to the cemetary holding gigantic crepe paper flowers, which Ruby found to be particularly fabulous.
