my new little pumpkin

Karl was wondering if you guys took home the right baby….he thinks she doesn’t look like any of you. I think she looks like C but with Ruby’s nose. She definitely has Pine cheeks and mouth.

C meets his new sister

2009 February 2 · 3:59PM · Monday

Most of the time, C is a very “boy” boy, with lots of energy and an unholy interest in all things bows-and-arrows, battering rams, and volcanoes. So I am often surprised at the times when he is calm and sweet and quiet. He was very cautious and sweet with Apl, holding her carefully and stroking her soft cheek, and trying to get her to hold onto his finger.

So sweet. His face is so soft and tender her and Apl is gorgeous.

and then there were five

My heart! You all look so beautiful and happy! OH! I’m going to go try to calm down some…

⁓ Gingerlane · 2009 Feb 4 · 8:07PM

Yay, I am so glad to hear she was born! I made a note to myself last night to check on here and I am happily rewarded. I’d be interested to hear more about the birth center. Where does “Ina” come from? I told Tim he might get to see you all in person while he is over there in February. Lucky him if he does.

Ruby fixes Apl’s hat

2009 February 2 · 4:19PM · Monday

Ruby was very eager to hold Apl, and very confident about shifting her around and such… maybe a little too confident! Ruby got some dolls for Christmas and has been “practicing” for the new baby. But a doll can hold up its own head and doesn’t mind when you poke it in the eye.
