Ruby pushing the wagon

Yes, the old wagon is still around. What a work horse! We aren’t usually hauling the kids in it anymore, but since we don’t have a car it comes in handy hauling packages to/from the post office, large grocery trips, and the like. Ruby actually likes to push it like this. When we ask C to push, though, he usually just hangs on the end and makes it harder to pull.

The wagon makes a great improvised bench or picnic table.
And check out that fabulous picnic basket!

I’m saying “open up wide, Mr. Baguette, here comes the salmon!”
This week’s picture! And Chris did some sawing later.

C’s working hard

Sawing is his second favorite activity, behind hammering. And I am a cruel, cruel mother because I don’t let him saw or hammer everything all the time.

sleepy Ruby on the way home

OK, we don’t usually pull the kids around anymore. But Ruby was tired and ready for nap, and we weren’t home yet. So she’s curled up with out haul of sticks. Poor little matchgirl.

It was a bit cold, but it was sunny, and we needed to go stick hunting (kindling for fires). So I packed us up a picnic in our new picnic basket, we bundled up, and went out on the hunt.
