In the Importance of Being Earnest, Aunt Augusta asks Jack/Earnest says it’s a good thing he smokes because it gives him something to do. Knitting is way better. Though it always makes me chuckle when my mother does the same thing.

We spent the day with Shannon and Paul. Mostly… we just walked. Didn’t eat, didn’t stop… just walked and walked.
We visited the Forum and Palatine hill, and spent plenty of time there. When we left, we went looking for the Mouth of Truth! Finally found it. Told a lie. Lost my hand. (I was asking for it.)
