I made this little montage of Andy’s pictures to be our Sunday Picture. It was so nice of Andy to take all these nice pictures of us. Well, it was another nice relaxing week for us; though Chris has been working (or trying to work) quite a lot on his book. We have been gearing up for the move, too. Just a couple more weeks.

I think this is a great picture of C. Definitely one of my favorite pictures of C, ever.

I (and Lauren and Amber and Andy) really liked this picture because Chris and Ruby are making similar serious faces. What are they both so concerned about? It’s just too cute.

That is a pool noodle that C is holding. We are going to try to make a hoop for C to throw stuff through, since it seems like this is a deep-seated need for him (evidenced by the fact that he cannot stop throwing stuff through the bookcase we use as a room divider).

Mercedes tells us that C is very drawn to throwing things over the fence at school, which I believe it related to his need to throw things through the bookcase at home. He seems generally attracted to throwing things into places where he can’t see. Here he is trying to get the noodle over the fence.

Sometimes Ruby is just too sweet. It seems like a vast understatement to say “I just love her so much.” I think Andy really captured this feeling for me in this picture.

Looks like a pretty serious discussion we were having… though I think we were actually debating the finer points of the Art and Science of Smoothie-making.
Which is not to say that that’s not a serious subject, mind you.
Amber and Andy came over for one last grill before we move. It was nice to see them again; we see them all too infrequently. I am very glad they moved to Portland. It seems like it suits them very well, and it was nice to get to know them. Plus, they were part of the reason that Lauren moved here! Anyway, Andy took some very nice pictures of the children (and us), as he always does. He’s just so great at it… somehow he makes you forget that he’s got the camera and then pictures seem so much more authentic.
