A Rainy Afternoon Stroll

Even though it was raining, we felt we needed to get out of the house. We’ve been enjoying the prospect of a sunny spring, with the reality that spring is sometimes cold, wet and windy. So we went for a walk through the graveyard nearby. It’s a nice, quiet, open place to let the kids run around.

I’m afraid chilly and wet is Norwegian spring for you. June-August should be really nice. I’m really happy about the sunny, warm spring here but I’m a little nervous about summer.

C is examining one of the gravesites. A lot of them are family gravesites, so they are pretty big monuments. Some of them have little fences around them, like this one; some even have little gates in the fences and benches inside. C thinks that’s pretty cool.

Ruby and Chris

I knit this hat recently as an experiment in sizing. It’s a simple two-squares design like the one Aunt Thelma knit for me. It’s from the same yarn I used for Ben’s Dr. Who scarf. Ruby is wearing it as a test-run hrer, I later sent it to Edison.
