A few pictures before bed

I realized we didn’t take any good pictures this week, so I snapped a few of the children before bed… something for the Sunday picture. This was the night Ruby got sick. She was throwing up and fevery all Monday but got over it in about 24 hours. Luckily no one else succumbed.

Every now and then, you get a picture that is just … interesting. This is one of those pictures. I was holding Ruby, trying to get a picture of her by holding the camera off to the side. Somehow most of her face is blurry except for her eyes. And the change in the tone/temperature of the light from the living room (where we are) to the bedroom (through the door) is striking, too. Chris is holding C’s hands as they penguin-walk into the bedroom.

She’s putting on her brave face, but she’s sick. OK, she’s only a year old and doesn’t really understand that she should be sad about the fact that she has thrown up three times since dinner. Poor girl!

I was trying to get Ruby to consume a bit of extra liquids before bed. I think she threw up right after this picture :(

I was trying to get a good shot of Ruby’s curls. We still can’t tell if they will stay, or if her hair will go straight like C’s did.
