On the ladder at Tårnhuset

At Tårnhuset, there is a ladder on one wall, with a big red cushion below it. Recently Ruby has been climbing all over everthing, so I thought she would like the ladder. We tried it out, and she totally loved it. C, too. He climbed all the way to the top, jumped part of the way down and then layed on the big red cushion and flashed some Tårnhuset gang signs.

This picture reminds me of a C-story… First a little background: C likes to play this rhyme game that goes “High-5, down low, in the middle, cut the pickle [adult holds two index fingers together for child to pull apart], tickle tickle”, but he never cuts my “pickle” he always holds his own fingers together for me to “cut”. A few months ago, Chris was putting him to bed and C put his index and middle fingers together and said “Cut two pickles!” And we have a book in German that is some simple word-play about fingers, and C’s favorite is “der Daumen” (the thumb).

Anyway… The other day he held his two thumbs together (like in this picture) and said “Cut Daumen pickle!”
