Dinner with the Family

This was the first time that our whole family (the four of us, that is) has sat down together for dinner. Usually someone was holding Ruby or she was hanging out on a playmat near the table. We moved C over to a booster seat in a big chair, and Ruby sits in the high chair now! She enjoyed her biter biscuit very much (which C was calling a “biker”).

Ruby has been very vocal lately. This is a movie of Ruby “talking” at the table while she is chewing on her biscuit.

It is really hard to tell, but C is holding some potato up on his shoulder while he is pointing at me. Chris had asked C if he wanted more potato casserole, and C had said yes, so Chris put some on C’s plate. Well, C was very upset about this, said “No, no!” and picked up the offending piece of potato casserole and held it up like you see him doing here. The incident was so strange (and C’s behavior up to that point had been so exasperating) that I just broke into near-manical laughter. Well, C thought that was pretty funny, and that is why he is pointing at me, holding potatoes on his shoulder.
