Wendell L. Weeks passed away at home in the arms of his loving wife on Wednesday, October 5th, 2011, from complications due to diabetes.
He was born in Smithfield, Utah on August 18, 1932, to Lawrence G. and Opal Ahlstrom Weeks. He married his sweetheart Carol May Beutler on June 9, 1954, and was later sealed in the Logan, Utah temple. Wendell was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Wendell graduated from North cache High School in 1950. In 1954 he graduated from Utah State Agricultural College, married his wife Carol, and joined the United States Air Force. He made a career of serving in the Air Force and was a pilot of the T-33 jet. While serving in the military they lived in Mississippi, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, California, Virginia, Alabama, and Illinois. He received his Maser’s Degree in mathematical statistics from Stanford University in 1964. He worked at the Pentagon and served in Vietnam. he retired as a lieutenant colonel in 1976 and retired to Utah. he worked at Cutter Laboratories in Ogden as a quality control supervisor until his retirement.
Wendell enjoyed his retirement with his family and found no greater joy than spending time with his grandchildren. Living with his memory are his loving wife Carol, his sister Laura Jean (Lee) McDonald of Smithfield, UT, five daughters and a son: Wendy (Dave) Pine, San Diego, CA; Shelley (Michael) Webb, Evanston WY; Patty (Jeff) Riddle, Farmington, UT; Jeri (Jim) Spinner, Pocatello, ID; Amy (Preston) Winter, Layton, UT; Robert (Shellie) Weeks, Ogden, UT. He had seventeen grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gary L. Weeks and an infant brother.

Funeral Services will be held at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th St., Ogden, UT, on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 11 AM.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday, October 9, 2011, from 6 to 8 PM and Monday prior to the services from 10 to 10:45 AM.
Interment will follow at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park.
