Ring of Fire! — May 8, 2012

We contemplated a few different fire-containment solutions for the backyard. I wanted something more campfire like, but still easy to cook food on. We found the perfect solution! It’s just a big metal ring to keep the fire in (and the kids out) that has an adjustable grill mounted on it.

C was wearing these glasses because Chris planned on using his big lens to light the fire and it would be dangerous to look at.

Ruby using smoke protection — May 8, 2012 at 7:07 pm

Sausages, corn, potato-veggie packets … lovely! It is not quite as spacious and some barbeques, but it’s got more room than an engangsgrill!

family cook out! — May 8, 2012 at 7:07 pm

Unfortunately Rav and Tyler couldn’t stay for dinner, but we soldiered on without them.

Ruby in her goggles — May 8, 2012 at 7:07 pm

The fire was super smokey and the wind was blowing it all over. Ruby’s solution: goggles.
