This hat was one of the many knitted christmas presents that Aunt Thelma sent us over the years. I’m pretty sure she sent it to my mom first (which is a huge joke if you know my mom and hats…) then I inherited it when I was visiting Alaska and needed cold-weather gear, and now Ruby has inherited it as an over-the-helmet headwarming device. Thanks Aunt Thelma, we’ve put it to good use! I only hope that some of my knitted items are still being enjoyed in 30 years …
