Her face is covered in soot from the burned sticks they found. She wove these dandelions into the crown she made out of the flexible plastic building toys (Flexees, from Grandma Wendy, they have been a favorite at our house!)

We always talk about going out to this lovely lake but we hardly ever manage to do it! So glad we made the effort, it was a lovely day. We were on the hunt for dandelions to make dandelion honey. And indeed we found plenty! We also took a long walk all the way around the lake and did some hiking up into the woods.
