Ruby’s game

Ruby loves playing “Little Lost Girl” or some variation. I think this time they were all lost orphans or something, and they were going to “meet” us in the street and decide to live with us. Here she gesturing to directions they might go on their orphan odyssey.

A little handmade moment here: C made Ruby’s crown out of these plastic building toys we have, Grandma Susie made the girls’ matching dresses, and then there’s my repurposed-sock Totoro.

Yarn Bomb!
2011 June 5 · 10:34AM · Sunday
I’ve been noticing this (now scruffy-looking) yarn bomb in downtown Oslo for a while. Unfortunately this is right across the street from where the real bomb was… so maybe I should change my terminology to “yarn tagging” or whatever else people call it. I wonder if it will still be there after they get everything all cleaned up. Anyway, I never heard the story behind this one, if the symbols mean anything, or if it was just a happy knitter trying to share the love.
C would like everyone to know that he was trying to hide behind the tree to make it look like the tree had arms and legs.
Oh, wow… that was literally across the street…

We headed out on a fine summer day, and Chris took these pictures along the way. A crown, a game, a yarn bomb, more of the same.
