C’s Drawings, winter

2008 · Hallings gate, Oslo, Norway

MORE +

C’s drawings have become largely representational and reflect his personality very well: people chopping down trees, robots, and volcanoes.

thank you card

2008

C wrote “Thank You” and then dictated the rest: “Thank you for the video games. It’s kind of silly that the guy swings around and around. And that the cars drive all by themselves. He looks silly sometimes when his hair does. This heart means I love you.” It was a card for Chris.

chopping down a tree

2008 November

C said “It’s two people chopping up a tree, me and Gustav. You can’t see the people hiding behind the bushes because they are white.” The bushes are white? I don’t remember.

It took me a while to recognize the pink and blue shapes intersecting with the center rectangle. They’re axes, and pretty good ones, too, really! C was playing lots of Age of Kings at this point, so he had wood chopping on the brain.

monster

2008 December

C said “This is a monster that me and Gustav and mama are going to drive in. It shoots green suns and has crushy feet. If it jumps and lands again the ground gets exploded.”
