Visiting The Fortress

We visited the fortress over the harbor because it was a place in Oslo Grandma Susie hadn’t been yet, and I thought it would be quiet for a picnic. There weren’t any places to quielty sit for a picnic, actually, that weren’t being ominously patrolled by big-hatted guards, so we sat at the cafe and watched them walk around. The fortress itself was great and we enjoyed steeping ourselves in the history. 700 years old, I believe (some parts)!

C loves using his new knife that he got for his birthday. I taught him how to whittle a stick to a point which is surprisingly non-obvious apparently.

C was amused that we had just been in that courtyard.
