The First Night of Christmas

We opened up some of the presents that arrived with Lauren from Grandma Wendy and Grandpa Dave. Very fun!

I told Ruby I wanted to take a picture of her, and this is the position/setting she chose.

She was already wearing the pretty ballerina outfit from Grandma Wendy, now she is going into pretty overload with the costume jewlery.

These were the complimentary snuggie socks that came with the snuggie… C counted all the dots on them.

I think there were 96… it took him quite a while.

Included in the package of dress up clothes and costume jewelry was a pull-out measuring tape. Which Ruby really does love, but I think she was confused about how it fit in with the fancy stuff.

He was a little skeptical at first, but he’s really fallen in love with it. Especially since it’s been -15c for the last few weeks, the kids wear the snuggies all the time.

It’s Jojoland Harmony, which is so beautiful! I had just learned about this brand of yarn from one of my favorite knitbloggers so it was a pleasant surprise to open up my package and see the three gorgeous skeins, complete with a ziggy-zaggy shawl pattern. I have cast on, and knit up just enough to satisfy my curiosity before turning back to other projects that have been promised to various important people. But I look forward to getting back to it!
