Family Hike Day with Treklang — September 10, 2009 |

Every year in September, Treklang invites the families of all the children on a hike in the forest. We go to the usual spot in the forest where the hike group goes every week. It’s nice to have an idea of what the hike days are like for the kids each week. And it was nice to meet some of the new parents and mingle a bit. We found a ton of blueberries, too!

This little boy is in Ruby’s class. They lived in the US for a while, so he speaks English. He was so sweet, following me around for 45 minutes helping me to pick blueberries and cranberries to bring home.

This was right before I got my foot stuck in a mud pit and stabbed us both in the face with a pine tree when I fell over. :(
