It was a really nice warm day, and we were revelling in the summer of it. It can disappear fast around here, so we make the most of it while we can.

I’m not sure where the sheep come from, or where they go in the winter, but there’s always a little flock of sheep grazing just past that fence.
As far as I remember those sheep spend the winter at Bogstad Gård, which is worth a visit if you haven’t been there. It’s a sort of mix of museum and organic farm, open for visitors, and they have several activities for children.
See Bogstad Gård website (in Norwegian). First Tuesday every month you can join in baking a pretty good bread, and watch the large stone oven where they are baked.

I was playing the balancing game. It’s so fun. And you’re supposed to be balancing the stuff.
That’s Perfect Balance: Harmony.

It was Andre Pinsedag, which means the day after Pentecost sunday, which is a holiday here. Because Norwegians will take any excuse for a three-day weekend. We (and about 5000 other people) packed up a picnic and piled into a boat headed for the islands. We chose to picnic in the meadow behind the cloister ruins on Hovedøya. The kids had a lot of fun exploring the ruins, running in the sunny meadow, and of course grilling pølse (hotdogs).
