Shopping for Old Camera Stuff

Me and C went to an antique store nearby to look for old camera stuff. I bought a little 50mm lens there, a lovely little Pentax f/2.0, with manual aperture ring! It’s so cute. And because the flange-to-film distance of the Pentax K mount is greater than the Canon EF mount (god bless wikipedia), it gives me a bit of wiggle-room for more tilting experiments!

Nice carboy there… I almost bought it, too. (I miss brewing.)

See, this is what tilting should be about. It’s not obviously a tilt shot if you’re not looking for it. You can see the rug in focus, and his hands, but you can see C’s head and the table leg going into bokeh-land.

A more extreme example. I like how the table legs seem to shimmer.
