Down at the Turia again

We had another leisurely day in the park, enforced by the fact that everything was closed for the May 1st holiday. Luckily, we had enough groceries to see us through a picnic in the park. We headed away from the city center, along the long park paths, and found some nice play areas and even a little mini cafe in the park.

(If you don’t know, a Kinder egg is a chocolate shell around a little plastic egg that has a toy inside.) When he had his actual first Kinder egg, he nibbled the edges so gently. He knew there was something inside, but he didn’t know what it was like or if he would be biting the toy or anything. This time he just popped it right open.

The funniest part were the little munch-munch-munch sounds coming out of the bag.

This was on top of a tallish platform with an overview of a little shrub-maze. It was fun.

A new skill for C: tying shoes.

Ruby stopped at this ruined wall because we’d seen butterflies in there before. She was also pretty tired, and feeling kind of grumpy. Valencia had a lot of these urban ruins kind of places. A lot of buildings torn down, being rebuilt and such.
