Coldie Pants

It was cold, we were sick, and all I could do was sit on the sofa with C and knit him pants to try to help him feel better. He’s always asking me to knit him stuff, it’s cute. And the last pants I knit him barely fit when I was done with them so I knit these with an extra-long cuffable leg and the crazy stripey butt is the result of stash-diving after I ran out of the nice green I had for the legs. It worked out.

Doesn’t C look ill

The pants actually weren’t even finished at this point. This is three ball of Knitpicks superwash wool, a partial ball of Mission Falls wool and a whole ball of Drops Alaska wool. I never anticipated it would take this much yarn!

a shot of the long leg

I planned them to be cuffable, but he actually likes to wear them down over his ankles. Notice the toenail polish… thank you Auntie Lauren!

C’s pants from an unusal angle

They are completely a 1x1 rib, the whole way, knit in the round. The legs fits me! The first was a very cozy legwarmer while I knit the second.
