Surprise Birthday Trip!

Apparently, Chris has been embezzeling money from his “lunch budget” for the last nine months to save up money for a surprise birthday trip for us. I didn’t have a clue! Johannes and Lauren helped make arrangements, too. And it was great. Maybe the best birthday I’ve ever had. The first part of the trip was an overnight cruise south to Copenhagen. Lauren and the kids went with us down to the dock and waved as the ship chugged away.

Happy Birthday. I had a good birthday myself last weekend, on the 4th. We can’t wait to take a trip like this ourselves!

My hair’s getting long!

This cruise is usually known as the “danske båt” and has quite a reputation because people usually take this cruise just to take advantage of the cheap alcohol in international waters (Norway has an incredibly high alcohol tax). You pack into four person bunks and party all night. Well, we didn’t. We got a nice outer cabin with a bottle of champagne. It was really great! Happy Birthday to Me! And Chris!
