Easter Hunt

Alright, alright. What business do we have celebrating Easter? But it’s pretty big here, and the kids have been interested in the big hollow egg things that they use here instead of Easter baskets. So I bought a couple of them, filled them up with mostly non-candy goodies and let C hide them in the living room. Hiding things is highly exciting for him, but he’s not too good at it yet! He and Ruby searched out the two eggs and delighted in the contents. (It’s exciting for C to find something even if he’s “hidden” it himself.)

C and Ruby, egg hunting

2007 April 8 · 8:27AM · Sunday

C hid one of the eggs in the castle, and he’s keeping his eye on it while Ruby runs in to search for it. It wasn’t a very long search because C was all “Ruby! It’s in the castle!”

Ruby and C with the eggs

We sat them down at the table to examine the contents of the eggs and to eat the one chocolate egg inside.

Ruby and C with the eggs

2007 April 8 · 8:32AM · Sunday

They got 1 chocolate egg each, coconut cookies, little paper books with “R” and “C” on the outside, plastic rings (they ended up being too big for their fingers), a small stuffed elephant and pig, and a little lip gloss with a lady bug on top.
