Easter Bonnets

I don’t think any of these pictures actually said “1946” on them, but many were labelled as Easter pictures. Judging from how old everyone looks, and the fact that Glenn is not in any of these pictures, this must have been right before he and Jean started dating seriously. I wonder where Carl was, though. He’s not in any of the pictures and there’s not one of the whole group of Ronnie, Thelma, Jean and Violet.

Grandma wrote “Thelma, Ronnie, and me.”

Grandma wrote “me, Del, Marylin, Sue, Thelma”. That’s Del Bowden, Marylin Wide, and Sue Hafferty.

That definitely looks like one of the shelters at Palisades Park. Grandma wrote “Del Bowden, Sue Haffey, Marylin Wise.”

Grandma wrote “Jean, Thelma, Ronnie.”

Grandma wrote “Thelma and me.”

Grandma wrote “Mom, me, Ronnie” and they are along the banks of the Mississippi.

Grandma wrote “Thelma in her Easter finery.” Thelma looks like she is standing in the big field at the base of Palisades Park.

Grandma wrote “Ronnie.”

Grandma wrote “guess who”. So cheeky!

Grandma wrote “Mom, Thel, and Ronnie”, they are standing along the banks of the Mississippi. Is that the Savanna-Sebula bridge in the background?

Grandma wrote “Mom and Ronnie.”

Grandma wrote “Thelma, Mom, and me.” I’m guessing Ronnie took this picture of the ladies laughing together. Violet is holding Ronnie’s coat.
