Thanksgiving Shootin’

Glenn and Jean spent part of their Thanksgiving this year with friends and family in Blackhawk Village. Glenn’s sister Bernita (“Sis”) and her husband Warren, and Glenn’s brother Eldin (“Bub”) and his wife Dot.

Grandma wrote in the album “Warren, Bub, Dot, Sis” and on the back “Warren, Bub, Sis & Dot Thanksgiving 1946.”

Grandma wrote on the back “My honey, Dot, Sis, Jerry in background Thanksgiving 1946” and in the album “Glenn shooting his gun.”

Grandma wrote in the album “Glenn skinning first rabbit” and on the back of the photo “Glenn skinning his first rabbit thanksgiving 1946.” Yeah, that’s gross.

Grandma wrote “Jeannie shooting (missed too!)” and “Warren, Sis, Dot, & me at the same time I pulled the trigger, Bub shot off his gun I nearly collapsed Thanksgiving 1946.” I don’t really get why Bub shooting his gun at the same time Grandma did would have given her a shock. But, she’s always been easily excitable.
