Roller Rian!

Rian’s ½ birthday was last Sunday. Happy ½, Rian!

We weren’t quite sure how our dog, Kaiya, was going to react to having a new baby in the house. We even contemplated giving her away before Rian was born. But we are happy we decided against that. Kaiya loves to lay down next to Rian on her blanket. It took me so many shots to get a picture of them staring at each other, but they do this often. Rian gets so excited when Kaiya comes running into the room and Rian loves to feel Kaiya’s fur. And Kaiya, of course, loves to give Rian kisses all the time!

Our friends invited us roller skating at the local rink. They said that we could bring our stroller and push Rian around in it. But instead we strapped her in the baby bjorn and Matt skated with her around the rink. Matt has been skating for most of his life so I wasn’t too worried. Rian absolutely loved it! She was smiling, kicking her feet, and making all sorts of coos. It was too cute!

We don’t have too many family pictures because we really don’t have anyone around to take them for us. But I had our friends try to get one of us skating around the rink together. Even though I was pretty shaky on my roller skates (I got a little better as the night went on), we all had such a fun time together! Who would have ever thought that you could take a six month old roller skating?! Luckily nobody fell the entire night!
