Grandma Wendy and Grandpa Dave sent a very fun birthday package for the girls: Apl got some tub toys (essential since we have a new big tub!) and outside toys (to play in our new yard), and Ruby got bike accessories (though she hadn’t gotten a new bike yet.) They loved everything. Thanks!

We are garden sharing with our new friends the Jarviks … we have a garden and no experience, they have experience and no garden. Win-win! This was our first intensive day of work in the garden, removing grass and preparing the beds.

Apl absolutely loves the hot air vents. Every morning she has her breakfast sitting on the floor in front of the vent in the kitchen. She will also occasionally “dance” on the floor in front of the dining room vent.

We took an ambitious walk: all the way up to Mt. Tabor (almost 2 miles), then we explored around there, and walked back. Everyone was ready for a good rest when we got home!

Grandma Wendy sent us sidewalk chalk and a bunch of other outside toys for the girls’ birthdays, since we have a great outside space now. The chalk is a real favorite. Thanks Grandma!

Apl hung out with Chris and Johannes quietly for a while, and then just curled up and went to sleep. If only naptime were always this easy!

Morning Adventures — February 27, 2012 |

|
We went exploring today! We found a new park that is near-ish and then went to a nearby cafe, The Flying Cat Cafe, when we required a potty. It had a good layed-back vibe, lots of space and seating, and a great children’s play area with books and toys. I highly recommend! (Though they didn’t have many vegan food options.)
