There was an accident in the dishwasher — this beer glass fell on that ceramic dish. Can you believe who won?

Soup Kitchen — Apr 10, 2009 at 10:53 am |
C runs through the kitchen yelling “My head is usable for shooting soup out of!” Um, ok… Then, a few seconds later from the other room I hear him yelling “Who wants some soup!?”

The Easter Egg Hunt — April 10, 2009 |
We filled up the traditional cardboard eggs (used instead of easter baskets here) with chocolates and easter treats sent from Grandma Wendy. The kids hid each other’s eggs and had a most exciting hunt!

Paratrooper Bunnies — April 11, 2009 at 11 am |
For easter Grandma Wendy sent (among many other goodies) paratrooper bunnies. So we had to go out and give them a try. I didn’t think it went too well, but C seemed to think that just throwing them was pretty fun, even when the ’chute didn’t open.

Ruby Asleep Again — April 14, 2009 at 4 pm |

Another installment in this exciting series. She fell asleep propped up against a chair leg! Then she kind of slowly fell over and slept some more.

First Visit to the Museums in the Botanical Garden — April 17, 2009 |
C took Friday off of school this week, and we snuck out of the house to leave Chris in peace and quiet to finish his current project. We went off to the botanical gardens, which are just about to burst in this spring weather, and visited the natural history museums there (geology/paleontology/zoology). We had a great time, and I’m sure we’ll go back again.

Trip to the Park — April 18, 2009 |
We went for a walk in the park, to give Chris some fresh air (he’d been feverishly working on the website for many days) and to take some pictures of my recently finished sweater.

C Max’s first Library Card — Apr 20, 2009 at 6:18 pm |
We went to the city library for the first time (I know, we’ve been here three years… I’m awful.) C is old enough to get his own library card! He chose this book on dinosaurs (a new interest), and he also picked out a book about ballet for Ruby. By the way, that funky a in his name was his attempt to make a print-text-type a with a curl on top.
