C’s General Take on Life — March, 2008 |
Chris gave C a mostly blank notebook that was around his office one day, when C went to work with him. Someone had drawn the anarchy symbol on the front, and C took his cue from that.

C and Lauren Are Twins! — Mar 1, 2008 at 8:08 pm |
The same day that Ruby came with us to the brewery tour, C went with Auntie Lauren to the Barista Competition here in Oslo. C’s been interested in making espresso ever since Lauren worked at the coffeeshop here. In fact, about 6 months ago, C’s plan for his future was this: “I want to work at Java and live in Karl’s house.” Just like Auntie Lauren! Lauren found a skeleton shirt for C to match hers, too!

Late Winter Walk to the Graveyard — March 2, 2008 |
We went to check out a new cafe nearby, that reportedly had a crafty lean to it. Indeed, they had sewing machines that you could rent the use of by the hour (like and internet cafe, but for sewing!) and sewing classes and such. The children really need to practice their “cafe behavior”, though. It’s a good thing we were very early and the only ones there. After that we visited the graveyard and Chris played with his camera a bit. I was actually get some knitting done while we were out, also. Nice!

Recital at the Kindergarten — March 11, 2008 |
At C’s school, there is a music class that happens on Tuesdays… so far he has refused to participate, saying that the woman sings and plays the piano too loudly and that she won’t stop. This made me laugh out loud when C’s teacher told us, because that’s just so him. He actually told me many times to stop typing on our clicky keyboard because it’s too loud. But, the class prepared a little recital with a troll-theme (you wouldn’t think there are that many children’s songs with trolls, but trolls are very popular here) and C actually participated. About half way through he came and sat with us, though.
